PAC Volunteer Sign Up

Please consider joining our PAC or one of our parent volunteer teams!

We can always find a volunteer role suitable for you! While we appreciate those who wish to commit to monthly PAC meetings, we understand that schedules can be busy. Please see the list below for more information on the three teams we are currently trying to build.

Playground Committee

6-12 month commitment

We are looking for volunteers that can focus on fundraising within the community for our new playground. This will likely involve approaching local businesses and applying for community grants. Monthly PAC meeting attendance is highly preferred for all members. Please see the PDF document for more detailed information.

Carnival Committee

TBA (Carnival postponed until June 2022)

As this is our biggest event of the year, we will happily recruit parent volunteers for our end-of-the-year spring carnival in JUNE 2022. While we request that one representative attend the monthly PAC meetings, attendance by the entire team is not a requirement. However, the carnival team will need to find time to collaborate for planning purposes. Please see the PDF document for more information.

On-Call Volunteer Roster

Individual Events and Fundraisers

We have listed some information below regarding the types of on-call volunteer roles we may need to fill. Please also see the PDF document for more details. This does not require attending PAC meetings.

Sensory Room Committee

If you are interested in helping with the design and building of the sensory room in our new school, please email the PAC directly at pac.dlg@gmail.com.

12-18 month committment

Members At Large

The PAC is currently in need of ‘members at large’ (on-call volunteers) who are interested in being contacted to help with any of the following volunteer roles:

  • Extra help for fundraisers (ie. sorting Purdy's orders)

  • Social media and/or digital advertising

  • Community print advertising (ie. printing and distributing flyers)

  • Event support staff (ie. running a game at the carnival or helping with movie night)

  • ...and more!

We would also love to hear from families who may have various businesses, services and/or community contacts including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Local businesses that can offer products and/or services that may help support future fundraising events (ie. products for a silent auction, baking/catering services for school events, entertainment services for the school carnival, prizes for various events, etc.)

  • Contractors/developers, businesses, and/or individuals who wish to make monetary donations to our playground project

  • Local engraving services who may be able to provide a reduced cost ‘Donor Wall’ plaque for the big donors of our new playground

Volunteer Opportunities: Academics

Join Our Volunteer List!

If you are interested in signing up for one of the above teams, please indicate which team (playground committee, carnival committee, or on-call volunteer) and let us know whether you have any special skills, experience and/or local connections to offer! For those who sign up for a committee, one of our PAC members will be in touch. If you have signed up as an on-call volunteer, we will contact you with more details when we have a volunteer opportunity available.
